Steven Frederic Seagal, born April 10, 1952, is best known for his blockbuster movies full of martial-arts action. He’s traveled all over the world since his humble beginnings in Lansing, Michigan, including brief stints in Fullerton, California, Japan, and Mexico before finally settling in West Hollywood. He married Miyako Fujitani in 1975 and they had two children together- Kentaro and Ayako. The pair divorced and Seagal then went on to marry actress Kelly LeBrock. LeBrock gave birth to three of Seagal’s children- Annaliza, Dominic, and Arissa. They divorced in 1994. He’s currently married to Erdenetuya Batsukh, with whom he shares a son named Kunzang. He’s also the legal guardian of Yabshi Pan Rinzinwangmo.
Seagal’s first film, “Above the Law,” earned $18 million when it was released in 1988. The three films that followed- “Hard to Kill”, “Marked for Death”, and “Out for Justice”- all did well at the box office. His breakout hit “Under Siege” earned $156 million worldwide in 1992, securing Seagal’s status as an action hero. He put out several more films in the late 1990s, including 1995’s “Under Siege 2: Dark Territory” which earned $12 million in its opening weekend. After his contract with Warner Bros. ended, Seagal went on to produce and star in many more films, including his most-recent movie, “Attrition.”
The actor earned an estimated $5 million for each film in 2017, making him one of the highest-paid actors in the world. He also pulls in money from other ventures including an energy drink, after shave, and a line of knives which he produces with Young Living Oils. Seagal has also released numerous pop tracks, many of which have been featured on his film’s soundtracks.
